Sync without an account
Devices share encrypted tabs and bookmarks through a relay. The relay only sees ciphertext. Turn it on in Settings when you want it.
- No account
- Mozilla accounts stay off. Sync is a pairing code you type on each device.
- Tabs and bookmarks
- Open tab URLs and a Lyra Browser bookmark folder. Passwords are never sent. Received tabs stay off until you allow them.
- Your relay if you want
- The default relay is wss://sync.lyrabrowser.com/ws. It only forwards frames that share your pairing group. Point Settings at your own relay if you run one.
How to turn it on
- Open Settings, then the Lyra Browser pane.
- Turn on P2P sync and create a pairing code.
- Type that same code on the other device.
The default relay is wss://sync.lyrabrowser.com/ws. It is a server, not a page you visit in the address bar.
